Ok. So the death of Michael Jackson isn't big news? In Sweden it was on the headlines for a whole week. That's more than when Obama won or anything mentioned above.

Boring, but actually informative.

Those who do not follow the news can catch up :D like myself. I missed most of these... thank you!

Oh BTW Micheal Jackson is dead? >:)

#2 MJ death was on the headlines of the whole world, but that does not mean it was more important than the news mentioned. The video is called "Around the Globe".
(I know...I`m gonna beat the "thumb down" record)

#2 Good point!

For Ireland anyway they missed one thing. The bit about the world cup reminded me. The controvertial qualifier match between Ireland and France is one thing i will never forget from 2009.

Terrorist-news propaganda. The only things actually worthy of being mentioned were the Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the H1N1 pandemic. Everything else was just Terrorists / Iraq / Iran / Planes going down / Wars.
Snotr should get a "bullshit" category.

#5 MJ was an international star who completely changed whole cultures, especially in the post-communist countries. He probably meant more to Europeans than to Americans. According to this movie, pretty much everything that happened "Around the Globe in 2009" were terrorist-related activities and most of the stuff that happened "Around the Globe in 2009" happened in The Middle East or was related to it.

Oh God!
Michael Jackson is dead, but these mother fcukers are talking to me about some world unknown things, like killing people in the rest of the world. Shame! I haven't washed my hand for ten years. The hand I touched Him with.
Michael, we'll never forget you.

#11, this isn't a movie, it's report from the AP aka, Associated Press, compiling this past years largest and most globally impacting news events from 2009. It says a lot about what's happening in the world today when terrorism and the bulk of terrorist threats stem from one region on the globe, does it not? It's all warm and fuzzy to realise the impact that one celebrity musician like Michael Jackson had on the world during their lifetime but when there are other more severe events happening at the same time that are affecting the living to this day? Gee, I don't know about you but for billions of others the bullshite of H1N1 and a pedophile asexual dead celeb take a backseat to more important issues that are more worthy of resolving and being reported on. Guess it's all on what you value though mate.

#18, AP aka Associated Press is American based but prodominently funded by a board of subscribers from several different countries. It's comparable to another world-wide news source called Reuters. It's existence as a reputible news agency relies solely on it's reputation for non-biased reporting since it's funding comes from these many different nations memberships.

It's also not just American news mate. Not by any means.
