My god.. she has been a mayor for 30++ years and still hold the position at the age of 88..!! She must got a lot of trust from the residents that elected her.. Woowww..!! extraordinary, amazing, wonderful, and yes, she's a role model..!! perfect living legend..!!

Wow , what a woman 0% debt , 92% rating , For onces i think it goes with out saying ...do a good job and you will be rewarded and she has , at her age its amazing just goes to show being active does have its advantages

She's got nothing on the Mayor of Marion, Illinois-- he's been in since 1963-- that's 47 years straight!

Who said it was? I don't even live in these towns-- but if you're going to say that 30 years is the longest mayoral term served "in the world," it's worth a Google to find out.

Whatever about the 30 years as mayor, but she's damned sharp for 88 years old. Not to mention most 86 year olds don't do too well if they're hit by a truck.

Now if we could import people like her for congress to replace the piles of manure we have as congressmen we'd have a good chance for recovery.

I was born there (31 years ago). The city not long before was a collection of smaller cities, which she was involved in one small area. 1 year after she became mayor there was a major train accident and she opted to evacuate the city. It went smoothly. If you went to school in Mississauga, you met her. She is extremely active in the city. And, from personal experience. She is awesome.
