As an animator, everyone keeps asking me to explain what I do..which I find hard to answer because very few people understand what the hell i'm on about! now I can refer them to this video! (that is, if they wish to sit through over 7 minutes of it! :))

This is a great little short. I'm sure this company had been asked to explain the process so many times to clients that they made this, but it acts as a great showheel too, great vid!

I thought this would be interesting, but its more of a sales pitch than an explianation of how animation works. The first little blurb was promising and then they just focused on what they were acomplising rather than what they were doing.
The part about rigging was good except that you would usually create the rig/mesh and apply the image as a skin rather than the other way around. U/V mapping is essentially the same thing as this so i can see no reason to do that again.
They provide enough information for me to be convinced that they know what they are talking about, but if you were looking to find out how animation works rather than how the animation industry works with its clients, then look elsewhere.
