#1 try a few inches, not feet! (looked like the drop tank parted his hair!)
#2 That was a compression bubble that is a visual effect that an aircraft creates as it approaches the speed of sound. When the air craft passes the speed of sound (and creates a sonic boom) the compression bubble is no longer visible... but nonetheless, awesome. I was am interested why there was not a large "rooster tail" of water spraying up behind the plane at that speed and altitude...
#5 As per Flight Mechanics' Laws, Sonic Boom created at the speed as it approaches the speed of sound, you are totally right.. but after it passes or speeding more then the speed of sound, the sonic boom is not no-longer-visible, but it's stationed at the back of the aircraft, where the most turbulence air are there (which is more turbulence air for fighter aircraft) but it is different with commercial aircraft like boeing 747 etc or airbus..there were no rooster tail of water spraying because the speed of the aircraft creates a sharp multidegree waves that cut throught the water.. but it's surely makes the water sprayed out, but only deeper.. sorry, my english is not so good..

2 and 1 are mixed up - whilst I wont deny skills are required to fly fighter aircraft at low level, the fact is it drops down to point and throttle compared to flying a passenger aircraft at low level.

You may not like the US military, but you have to admit..... we train the best military pilots in the world

Number 3 is incredible.. thats a once in a life time experience i would LOVE that.. i love the last one where he's travelling the speed of sound so close to water

#14 One of the annoying things that the american developers have been struggling with for decades is that they cannot make a wing as good as the Russians who are by far the most adept at fighter aircraft design, development and control. Not all of those clips were american.
Its not your military people dont like its your whole country atm. Your "if its not our way then its the wrong way" attitude to everything is what gets people annoyed. But you should revel in it whilst it lasts - your military is paying the bill every day.

#16 you are so right, the other thing that is 'wrong' with the american army is the dumbness of the soldiers.. if there is no leader in a squadron they all just sit there like a bunch of noobs, not knowing where to go and what to do
those are some deadly skills!! btw..what is the name of the song? have heard it in some movie before?

1:42 Could have been a nice move, but being a pussy in the last moment is priceless... ![]()
But my personal Number 1 low flyby is http://www.snotr.com/video/4165
#14 yeah they are good, but I believe learning to fly over a desert or the ocan is nothing compared to the thrill flying between mountains.
patrouille swiss FTW!

#20 its Massive Attack - Angel look for it in the tubes!

So . . . Pushing the edge is cool, but hope their Commanding Officers don't see this on Snotr and ground them ![]()

#16 "Not all of those clips were american."
I sure did not see anything that looked to be russian out of those 10 clips. ( I am pretty sure since none of them crashed ).
#18 You are just full of crap and seem to know zero about Army chain of command.

#14 It wasn't always that way after all without us Brits and Germans you wouldn't have the Jet engine or Rockets, and secondly Patuxent River Test Pilot School is based on our very own one at Boscombe Down that has been there since the 1940's, so Ner Ner .... ![]()
yup, no.2 should have taken the top spot. Ridiculously good/lucky piloting skills are required to pilot a larger plane that low, with no afterburners. Compare it to playing tokyo drift with a large bus.

I can't believe how fast those things are...
[ 1:15 ]
#23 It is a requirement of "Top Gun" pilots. Here in Canada the instructors are with the Pilots in training and they say it is
the training exercise they fear/hate the most. That speed so close to the ground they have no time to correct an error.
The only woman to complete this training was sent to intercept a MIG and send it home or else, a first.

#24 Hate to inform you of this but number 4 was a set of 3 Tornadoes that are operated by the UK, West German, and Italian Air Forces and Saudi Arabia (could not see the planes clear enough to tell which model)... So much for this being only "American Only" videos...
Also Russian aircraft have always been known for brute power and maneuverability, but these are not the only criteria for fighter superiority.
I am American and proud to be so... So in the future, #24 please stop giving the rest of us a bad name. Make sure you know what you are talking about before you start typing...
And to the Non-Americans, please do not judge all of us by the actions of others. Even Obama does not represent ALL Americans... GOD knows I didn't vote for him!

Not only was that a nice vid, but you get points for choosing Massive Attack to be the soundtrack...
^_^

#30 I havn't heard "West German" for a while maybe your showing your age a little - despite that it is regrettably rare - to find such humility on the internet and a breath of fresh air thank you.
You have an uphill battle as far as judgement is concerned -your assertion that Obama doesn't represent all americans. Given he is the elected leader of your country by definition his dictates and actions and those of his predecessors are what you are currently judged on. Im English and we are just as guilty of letting foreign policy be run by the elected noob in charge and not the experts in the relevent ministry/department.
#30 I did not say they were all American aircraft, I said I did not see any Russian aircraft since #16 was extolling the virtues of Russian built planes. There were a couple of Harriers also that could be British or American. Your ASS-umption that I meant they were all American leaves you looking like an.....well,you know.
The only thing that gives you a bad name is apologizing for other Americans.
But at least you didn't vote for our current "apologizer-in-chief".

Hey, aren't these things built to kill people?
#36 Haha,it looks like your diaper needs changing. (You need to stop crying because you are making the rest of the country look bad.)
#37 No , they are built to protect freedom.
This one should be at number 11 (careful - profanity at the end)
