I was surprised that the cheesy would melt at all!

First of all You would not have a whole hamburger in your stomach... it would have been broken up in smaller pieces AND those smaller pieces would have been chewed to a near paste... making the digestion process more efficient and not as disturbing !

I guess if you figure a way to get a whole hamburger (not chewed) in your stomach this may apply to you! :S

They forgot the most important steps in the digestive system though... even before you take the first bite... Your digestive system begins to work... Saliva forms in your mouth and chewing is the first process of the whole thing :D Sure it looks like tar at the end... but how many of you that haven't eaten for awhile got hungry at around 00:20 ?? :P

#2 you are completely right! However that does not change the fact that Mc Donald's is still a sorry synthetic excuse for food which I wouldn't give even to my most hated enemy.

its not gonna digest, there is no enzyme to do their job, all the acid does is to extract the -OH content out of the burger, giving it that darkened colour

What is the point of this video. I know, food looks like shit, when it comes out of the organism.

Try with a tomato or some healthy wholemeal bread - I guess it will look the same! So #13: This video proves not that MCD food are more disgusting than Burger King or salad.

#11 there is more in ur stomach than just HCl + its not so concentrated
Picture of FatHorse29 achievements

+6 19. FatHorse commented 14 years ago

It's not the first video I see of those guys, and they are never thorough... He speaks of HCl that we all have in our stomach, but our pH level is around 2. The concentrated HCl he used must be around pH 0 or even toward -1, meaning that OUR stomach acid is 100 to 1000 times less strong using the log scale. Add all the enzymes we do have in there and you get a digestive process not even close to the one happening in this video... Of course, let's not also forget that we chew our food and that our saliva's amylase enzyme already prepared the process...

Ehh one thing also #19 it also depends on were your mc donalds burrger comes from thats a UK on even thow the retard doing it is irish ...in ireland mc donalds burgers have to be 100% beef (and i think at that has to be irish beef) ok given that it might be parts of the cow mushed to gether to look like meat ....

When i lived in holland there burgers in mc'ds are i think its like 60% soya protine filler and there waaaay nicer than the crap they serve here but heres an intresting case from holland were a dutch court rulled that the cheese in there burgers is well "a non chargable item"

Hmm, I wish mythbusters would have done this "test".

I do not think, they would have explained the digestive system but I bet they would have blown up one cheesburger at the end of the test!

such a fail, the HCL in the stomach provides the acidic medium for the enzymes to work , not supposed to digest by itself, fat doesnt dissolve it gets emulsified after leaving the stomach so this whole thign is bullshit
