Nature is very mathematical. You can find mathematical logic in many many things in nature. Just look at how bee hives work. And we are just starting to understand the complexity of natures math.

This vid plays on that a little. It starts with the Fibonacci numbers (0 1 1 2 3 5 etc its just you adding up the 2 previous numbers to make the next). Based on this sequences you can draw a curve, it looks like the snails house is equal to this curve, which I doubt.

Creator then looks long enough at the just, perfectly, created snail house to find a angle of 137,5 degrees. It looks like the seeds in a sun flower are angled excactly in that ratio to one and another.

From that alignment you can then draw 90 degree lines to created a hive like surface that matches the structure found in the wings of whatever insect that was in the end.

Personally I think it's free association art, entertaining sure, accurate I doubt. Nature, eventho very mathematical, isn't this perfect. It has uniqueness, flaws, anomalies and so on. And if you search long enough you will always find these kind of equasions as you are bound to eventually stumble on the mathematical perfect snail house. Nice vid tho.

Makes you wonder, doesnt it? :)

It's amazing how the numbers, math, calculus, geometry and basically everything has to do with our planet and our universe, nice video oh and by the way i enjoyed the music as well. :D

#2 i think it was in Foucault's Pendulum which they said that humans will see mathematical correlations wherever they want but i don't remember the exact example they gave i think it was about the room they were in....

Did u kno that PIE is derived from 3.14, just read 3.14 backwards in alphabetical letters:

4 = P
1 = I
3 = E

Its not that relevant to the vid, but yea :)

Interesting.. This song is based on the golden ratio! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmaVqkR0ZXg

If you listen carefully, the background music sounds very similar to this song.

Don't forget fractals. Nature seems to follow fractal equations as well at various depths. Fractal sets couldn't even be properly calculated until the computer age, Before then the Mandelbrot and Julian sets were just fuzzy indefinite shapes.

Great video and music and #2 you sure sound smart but here some information- That was Nautilus shell not snail (big difference!), and it's very popular in math world cause this video is correct about curve of its shell. And that was dragonfly in the end, very common insect even in your Netherlands.

#24 This video showcases how things are made up through a very simple mathematical logic, which is something that is in no need of any so called "intelligent design".
