That is MINT.. its wierd that they specifically designed that white structure so it could actually do this to show off haha.. that guy in the cab is brave

I've operated a lot of heavy equipment, so the power of that machine doesn't surprise me. You had better believe that every component on that thing has been thoroughly inspected and certified! (That operator is very good)

Shoking, nice vid. I cant understand one thing. Why does he not fall off, when he is standing only on his caterpillars. It seems for me, that his center of mass is not beneath his footing -> so he should fall off. Same as you cant stand up from a chear, if you dont lean forward.

This is actually very useful for digging very deep but narrow holes and not leaving the excavator in the hole.

#22 Allow me... If he would by chance have to dig a deep and narrow hole, He would most likely have to be inside the hole and it is highly possible that he would have to be in the deepest part as well. And so as seen in this short movie, he would be able to disconnect his digging claw and store it elsewhere and then climb his way up out of the hole. Hope it helps.

#24 You may have noticed in the video that the tower has four outrigger arms that extend out and have bulldozers parked on them to keep the tower from tipping over. How are you going to accomplish that down in a deep,narrow hole? And then,how would you get the bulldozers out of the hole?
#(removed comment) The "clever" way to extract dirt from down in a hole is to use a cable crane with a depris bucket. When the bucket is full the crane hoists it out of the hole and dumps it.

liked the video though would prefer a different audio background (current does not fit imho), really astonished by the amount of space needed for excavator to stand for balancing - it is just 1/3 - that's unbelievable! liked the moment where the showman stood below the machine - if it falls, there would be none to present the show and excuse for the failure. and the video showed only the climb where is the descent?

im acually not that impressed, i've had a lot of experience with excavators, (not this kind of experience) but still, so im not surprized about the power from these machines.. but i say that would be more cool if they did this stunt someplace not specialy designed just for this purpose. Still i must admit that the driver sure got some guts

This is how you can get a bulldozer into and out of a vertical shaft without having to rent a heavy crane.
