Nice camouflage

A footage from an educational film for german sniper training(1944), sadly enough, this was not filmed in color, but black and white seems to do the job.

yep... spend hours to camouflage... just to jump out in less than 3 seconds and hope you don't get shot while doing so...

That is a good old vid. The modern scout/sniper has vastly improved weapons and tactics compared to the WW2 sharpshooters. A British sniper now holds the record for the longest shot-on-target at 1.54 miles.

I recommend find on youtube and watch whole documentry (to bad you cant post an hour long vids here :D ). I like militarism and this documentry is just a masterpiece (when I first saw it I was so exited like a little child getting his present). There is like everything about being a sniper, from A to Z.

The real reason for B&W filming: their disguise was actually purple. Filming in color would have made it too obvious :D

that was on 1944 .. now camouflage is almost useless on our modern world. the body heat camera can detect you no matter what you are wearing or hidden .. that what the US army use for the snipers on Afghanistan when thy hide in the mountains .. i sow some of them get fucked.

The sniper who made the most incredible shot in combat history was Carlos Hathcock during the Vietnam conflict, killing an enemy at 2,286 m .

... with a cruise missile.

#26 Nice guess but wrong. He was using a tripod-mounted M2 .50 cal. Browning heavy machine gun with a 9 power Unertl scope. When that large of a bullet hits you it might as well BE a cruise missile. :S

I like orange marmalade for breakfast, by the way. Something sweet like that gets my day off to a good start. ;)
