#(removed comment) The US made 6 manned moon landings,so do you mean no one has been back since? Every nation with radar tracking equipment observed the journey there and back.
The Soviets did have their own program to land a man on the moon called Moonshot:

"The Soviet Union competed with the United States to be the first to land a man on the Moon in the 1960s. The Soviet Moonshot program ultimately consisted of two separate manned programs: a lunar flyby program using a UR-500K (Proton) / L1 (Zond) combination, and a lunar landing program using a N1 / L3 combination. Following the dual success of the American Project Apollo with the first Moon flyby of 1968 (Apollo 8) and the first Moon landing of 1969 (Apollo 11), both of the Soviet counterpart programs eventually ceased: the Proton / Zond program was cancelled in 1970, and the N1 / L3 program was cancelled de-facto in 1974 and officially in 1976. Their materials and personnel were transferred to other programs. All details of both Soviet programs were kept heavily secret until the arrival of glasnost allowed them to be published in 1990."

The radiation levels experienced by the astronauts in the Van Allen belt are no more than 2 rem and their exposure time has been calculated to be no more than 1.5 hour. A lethal radiation exposure is 250 to 300 rem. There is no way any astronaut would have even felt ill by such a small amount of radiation, actually, at the time of the Apollo missions, hospital patients regularly received MORE radiation than that during a Xray exam.

Governments have better things to do than fake the Apollo landings. Oh and by the way, how do you explain that we can point lasers at equipments that was left on the moon by the Apollo astronauts and that even today, we can measure the response of those laser reflectors. Did the reflectors fly themselves to the moon?
