can you like imagine the people in 2110 looking at a video of us here in 2010 and going like... wow that's how it used to look back then?

Naw this is the perfect music to be played on this ride.... giving it both modern and old-style taste to it.... Wouldn't it be amazing to go back right where this was filmed and talk to people around there??
Keep in mind... 1903 FORD company was introduced to the world
This video is 105 YEARS OLD!
I Have an original poster from 1903 (FORDMOBILE With detachable tonneau) 850$
Does anyone know how much my poster is worth??? I search online sometimes but its hard to find....

i like these old footages.i wish there were more from different cities around the world ![]()
Music is out of place but it kind of fits the trip... Very interesting stuff!
What's the building (with the tower) at the end of the street?
Music is "La femme d'Argent" by Air.
It fits great with the city mood ![]()
People seem to be so cooool !

Considering that the Model T didn't come out until 3 years later.... alot of people did have cars!
Cars, horses, carriages, trams...
No traffic lights, junctions...
Boys being boys, People talking to each other!
Freedom.
Jay walking at its finest.
Not much traffic and a little chaotic, but it all flowed. The system worked. Not one accident or death for the entire trip!!!!
Ah, those were the days ![]()
at that time the vehicles were slow. the only advantage over walking was mostly the effort itself i suppose. being so slow, the vehicles can be easily controlled (stop if someone comes across it, but then again, anyone can cross without a problem since the vehicles are so slow)
I would absolutely love to see this footage recreated today - same speed down the same street and played side by side for comparison.

so many ford T! beautyful car!
It's simply AMAZING! 105 years ago, so far away in time! And all those people, with so many important problems... Dust in the wind.

I find it interesting that the bikes go quicker than the cars who go quicker than people walking who go quicker than a horse who go quicker than the tram.
Thanks for the look back in time.

wow . . . how did people socialize back then without cell phones and networking sites?
Did people actually have to speak to each other? ![]()
here's some more info on this vid, copied from a website:
"This film, originally thought to be from 1905 until David Kiehn with the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum figured out exactly when it was shot. From New York trade papers announcing the film showing to the wet streets from recent heavy rainfall & shadows indicating time of year & actual weather and conditions on historical record, even when the cars were registered (he even knows who owned them and when the plates were issued!).. It was filmed only four days before the quake and shipped by train to NY for processing. Amazing but true! Music: "La Femme D'Argent " from the "Moon Safari" album by Air."
and here's the same street, in 2005:
