I'm feeling very patriotic all of a sudden... perhaps i'll go out and pay some tax!!! Then again...

You have to take this in context. filmed during the war in 1943. They were portraying spending as HELPING the Nazi's because you weren't paying your taxes to support the war effort.

It seems that it was a huge pain trying to get tax revenues back then. Now they just take them automatically and ever more for less in return.

#8, Personally I am far from a Nazi/Aryan such as yourself. But I do agree with most of what you have said. If anyone has seen Zeitgeist you would all mostly agree as well. This kind of Propaganda is what screwed the USA. Because, everyone loves a Cartoon. No one likes the truth.

Hummmm, a little shocked at first, by above AK's commentary, but in re-reading it as an ex-usMilitary man, i believe he has a learned insight as to how we've been terribly hoodwinked by propaganda like this into becoming just what our Founding-fathers warned about, by those he accurately calls the Bank'sters, that are obviously doing everything they can to destroy the economy of our besiegued nation. Recently we've senselessly destroyed the once fine nation of Iraq, and now the Isralies want us to join in murderously nuking the soverign nation of Iran because they are trying to protect themselves from the warmongering Isralies, and refuse to be a part of the ruthless Bank'ster cartel. Quick people pay your TAXES so the factories can make more guns, guns, GUNS !! You have to pay your TAXES so America can invade Iran and other countries ! Pay your TAXES people, but God help you if you get sick... because health care is not a priority. GUNS IS WHAT WE NEED !!!

Zeitgeist is as much propaganda as this cartoon is. The message is ok but the so called 'facts' in that documentary are mostly speculation.

Propaganda films like this one,and others, helped to spur the American workers on and rev-up their great industrial war machine. Just like the German people did,the Americans also acted as one to support the National cause.

this is a really good 6 episode TV documentary made a canadian television. It explains all the propaganda made by the american, nazis, japan, russia and other countries during world war 2. http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/lovehatepropaganda/ you can see how the informations was filtered in each countries and how governments were using the informations channels to convince pplz to go to war and that war were good for them.
