Wow I never knew exactly how this worked... and never really gave much thought on the wheels needing to move at different speeds when turning and how it all worked... (Differentials) Now I know an awful lot thanks to a video that's nearly a CENTURY old! :O

Shouldn't this be in "cars"? This is a very nice presentation that makes it easy to grasp the concept. Now we need one that deals with a posi-trac differential! :D

When stock car racing you remove the Diff and weld steel plates into it to make the wheels turn at the same speed for oval circuits etc. Just thought i would add that :)

#36 Don't know about stock car racing in Scotland but in NASCAR this is the differential used......
