Good. Effing abusing animals, poor creatures cut and bleeding for thousands to watch... and getting off on it.
Throw his body in the pile with the KFC chicken farmers, and say a prayer for the collective human soul!

Although I strongly disagree with killing for entertainment and that I believe the guy put himself in danger by doing what he did, my human side still feels for the poor guy.
Since the 1950`s mankind is suffering of the "Walt Disney" syndrome, talking mouse, dogs and ducks with feelings and sense of humor and goals in life... this is utter nonsense!
Animals, for the most part, have a pretty boring life, are not self aware and humans are not the only predators out there (Think lions, wolves, polar bears, sharks).
My take on this is : A human life is worth a thousand animal lives, we should do our best to kill animals humanely and not cause unnecessary suffering and distress. The only reason to kill animals should be for food. We should also protect endangered species like the blue whale and pandas.
Saying that an animal life is more important than a human life is stupid and cruel. Think about this: Would you have said the same thing if the bull fighter was a 12 year old kid? Would you have said "Good for him, he got what he deserved"?
Hating human beings is a definitive sign of insanity...

I just wish the bull did more than just pierce his tong. Horn trough the heart for instance.
BTW I hate the way they always try to justify the bullfighting (they have better life than regular bulls bla bla).

I'm not Spanish and i'm not a big fan of bullfights, and i do like animals, but i respect other cultures and don't judge them

#20,
1) last time i checked, humans are animals too--homo sapien to be exact.
2) most people are not angry because they are personifying the bull (aka walt disney effect as you call it). they are angry because..
3) other animals, in their natural environment, do not kill for FUN/entertainment (i say natural environment because some may argue about domestic cats).
4) saying a human life is more important than any other animal life is just your ego getting in the way of the truth. we are animals too; and, in the end, we really are no more important than any other animal life. fortunately, though, we have this amazing ability to understand the world and universe in a beautiful way. once again, i don't feel like that makes us MORE IMPORTANT or "better."

Can't say I'm glad this guy got his neck pierced by a Bull even though he had it coming obviously... It's just a shame that the world hasn't evolved into moving past these uncivil/vulgar "RITUALS" That they have I don't give a fuck about how ancient this "sport" is or what it means to the country it will never make sense to me to trick an innocent beast into an arena and poking him to death.. It makes me think about the "NEW WORLD ORDER" and how it might not be such a bad idea.

#34 Well put!
#20 That was the lamest definition to why we have the right to kill animals. I work with mentally retarded people and by your definition some of them we have the right to kill because they have a VERY boring life and are not selfaware.
I do not hate humans. I think we are an amazing race because of the things we have come to understand but that is exactly why we have an obligation to use that knowledge and behave accordingly. And that to me rules out killing for amusement. Just because something is "tradition" does not make it right. That is why most people have come out of the dark ages and realized some of the things they did back then was wrong and stopped doing it. Maybe #30 would like the good ol' tradition of human sacrifice back og maybe which burnings.
Culture or tradition does not give anyone right to do what those bastards do.

For those facts I feel ashamed being spanish...
Spain has a huge tradition on bull fighting, but fortunately we are more and more people hating this slaughtery. Now, in Cataluña (the Barcelona zone) there will be a law forbidding bullfights. I hope in a few years all Spain will be following this law.
And for everybody saying "poor guy" watching those images,
I want to say only three words: WELL DONE, BULL!!! I've never felt bad for a torero (spanish word for toreador, or matador). Screw him! This will never happen to me, because I'll never be in front of a bull.
This is not gore. Gore is the end of the corrida (bullfight), when the torero shoves all the way down a narrow sword through the bull's spine to kill it. Before this, the bull gets the "banderillas": other toreros puncture the bull's back with 70cm spikes, and of course, this make it bleed lots of blood. After all this, if the bull still stands up, the torero cuts the bull's spine with a short and large knife. This is gore, not watching how the bull defends itself as good as it can!

Sorry, I forgot a last sentence...
For all those people saying that this is culture and has to be respected: in some countries on Africa, ablation is also a culture... Should it be respected, or should it be forbidden?
There is also a tradition in some spanish villages: to throw a living goat from the belfry of the local church. Funny, isn't it?

The only thing that would have made that better is if after he gorged his mouth he did it 9 more times whilst waving a red flag in his face and slowly watching him die from the wounds whilst a crowd cheered... but in saying that, beef is delicious ^_^ oh and ignore the grammatical errors please i also can't play the guitar.

The very fact that there are so many commenters on here that would value the life of an ANIMAL over that of a HUMAN to the point that they would maliciously wish harm upon someone and say that it's good that someone had this happen to them, disturbs me deeply.
Whether or not you agree with bullfighting is one thing, but to wish for an animal to exact revenge on a human isn't right either. If you want to stop bullfighting, write a petition. Start a letter campaign and send it to the Spanish government or to the UN. Attend a protest. But sitting there, mouthing off about how you're glad that a bullfighter got gored is just sick and perverse and it will never solve the problem. If anything, it just makes me want to attend a bullfight out of sheer schadenfreude.

I'm a nurse and I don't think my life is worth less then that of just any animal. But there are people who are near worthless. I respect animals and the suffering they go through to feed us. (docementary: food inc.)
You are a man so have no right to talk about abortion. It's not a right that concerns you very much. It's womens right to choose for their own body. And if you say all life is sacred and that kind of crap. Some women could die because of their pregnancy.
If you say that that is worth the life of the child I dare you to donate all your organs because it is deffinatly worth it saving so many lives in your own opinion
Bullfighters fight an uneven battle.

#44 The protest is done, that's why the catalan zone got a local law forbidding corridas. But I'd like you to see images of people who support and people who are against. Police has to protect the anti-corrida people...
I do not consider that an animal life is better or worse than a human life: both of them have the right of living in peace. But when you watch a bullfight you know that the advantage is for the guy, as the bull always die, even if other toreros has to get inside the arena to help the main torero. So, when it happens, I'm glad if the bull can give back a bit of what they receive. The "fight" is not fair. Romans did it well: bare hands, intelligence, muscle and the bull. Spanish and latin-america people not.
#49 How would you like to get killed? Would you like to get some wounds on your back, with some people harrassing you around until you faint, or would you like a quick death, with a minimal pain?
#53 You wouldn't like to know about what "spaniards" think about bulgarians...
#(removed comment) Yeah, right, you say that those bulls are bred for this purpose. Fine. I've also heard that if there wasn't bullfights, the bulls would have been extinct, so they preserve the race... Tell me one thing: Who decides this or that race will be bred for being slaughtered in front of a crowd? Who has the right of taking this decision? No one asked the bulls if they agreed...
I'd like to watch a corrida with a genetically modified bull... with the DNA of a wolf, for example. It would be interesting...

If I look at this situation from point of the bull, if I place me in the place of bull, I would choose bullfight. I think many would do. Only I hope I would have the guts and bravery to fight back in spite of fear and pain. You could draw parallels with war. Die in sweat zyclon B or kick enemies ass by bringing fear and respect in their lines, die with glory.

#58 You may be right, but I must say something about your parallelism: you choose going to war or not, whereas the bull don't. Nobody asked it.
Anyway, I agree with you: if I were in the place of the bull, and wouldn't have the choice of bullfight or living peacefully on the fields screwing some cows, of course I would fight back as hard as I could. But in the bottom of my heart I'd prefer screwing some cows on the fields....
#60 As far as I know, abortion can be safely done within the first 4 months, when the foetus is not completely formed. I mean, it's not a baby yet. And my point of view is not only because the risk of dying as #56 said, but in the case of a non-desired pregnancy, like the consequence of a rape, or a too young couple, when sometimes the guy doesn't have the guts to go on after having done the funniest part. You're 57, right? Imagine you've a 14yo daughter, and one day she comes home and tells you she's pregnant, and she does not know who's the father because she had sex with half of the football team... What would you do? As you say, killing the innocent baby, or encourage your daughter to have the baby, even if this would screw her life?
It's tough to say, but sometimes we should let apart the politically correct thoughts and be more open minded.

reading a lot of people who think they are better than animals, what would you say if they replace the bull with your dog,cat or goldfish ( ) then suddenly the world is cruel because they are domesticated animals ? now that is what i would call bullshit the homo sapiens is a predator, so killing to have food is quite right, it is what all predators do, but killing for fun is a total different thing, just like murdering and war, now say again animals are worth less than humans ? don't think so sometimes.

Speaking of bullfighting......
A big Texas cowboy stopped at a local restaurant following a day of drinking and roaming around in Mexico. While sipping his tequila, he noticed a sizzling, scrumptious looking platter being served at the next table. Not only did it look good, but the smell was wonderful..
He asked the waiter, "What is that you just served?" The waiter replied, "Ah Senor, you have excellent taste! Those are bull's testicles from the bullfight this morning. A delicacy!"
The cowboy, undaunted, said, "What the heck, I'm on vacation, I'll have some!" The waiter replied, "I am so sorry Senor. There is only one serving per day because there is only one bullfight each morning. If you place your order now, we will be sure to save you this delicacy for tomorrow"
The cowboy placed the order and the next evening he was served the one and only special delicacy of the day. After a few bites, and inspecting the contents of his platter, he called to the waiter and said, "These are delicious, but they are much smaller than the ones I saw you serve yesterday"
The waiter shrugged his shoulders and replied, "Si, Senor ... sometimes the bull wins."
