#8 yes, and then it collapsed on his head... i think he learnt a valuable lesson about hiding under colapsable chairs in twisters/dust devils ![]()
Wow! Matsumoto... That's a city about an hour from where I live.
Crazy stuff. They were yelling at the kids to "get down" but I really wonder if that would be effective.

#7 I think it could be classified in between a dust devil and a tornado. It was really strong. I have seen weaker dust devils form in football games like this one but to be this strong; i am shocked. ![]()

HOLY C***!!! A REAL LIFE TORNADO KICK!!!!
according to wikipedia, this would be classified as a dust devil, a rather large one.
Tornados form during other weather sytems (thunderstorms, hurricanes etc.) where as the the dust devil forms without another weather system present. Devils also tend to be much smaller but can range up to 10 meters wide and 1,000 meters high (that's pretty damn big!!)
so, now you know! Clear skies = dust devil, storm conditions = tornado
Cool video, interesting to watch it form and grow
Finally, proof that these Japanese guys rele do have special powers like dragonball z. TORNADO FURRY, YAHHHHH
