And the guy at the controls, didn't think it was a good idea to set it back down when he lifted it at that angle, because?
One dumb mistake equals one very LARGE repair bill.
The crane operator should have set the load back down after seeing it was not being lifted level and corrected the situation. That accident can be blamed on the crane operator and his lack of experience.
I have seen so many of these videos by now that this is exactly what I expect every time I see these things.

The crash was way too predictable. There is no way that support like this is going to be successful ![]()
And that's probably one of the few moments where an "Oh Snap!" comment is literally and figuratively appropriate.

When you unload a 40ton crane at an angle of 45°...you just know it's going to happen.
