Ethnic cleansing was the most prevalent crime,but rape and torture were also practiced by the Serbs.Serbian forces raped every woman and young girl they came in contact with. #21 I haven't been there, but back then I have been protesting against the war against Serbia. Not because Serbian troops didn't do horrible things, but because of the lies the media fed us at that time and because bombing Serbian civilian was just wrong!

Then was then and now is now. Let it go, don't forget, but don't blame. Now it's the time for reconciliation! To eventually bring peace to the Balkan, which was troubled for such a long time...

#21 Every report on the war while it was going on showed that the Serbs were committing atrocities on a regular basis. And how do you figure Milosevic was controlling a "private"army? He controlled the National army and Sarajevo soon became known as the city where Serb snipers continually shot down helpless civilians in the streets, including eventually over 3,500 children. I well remember the nightly news reports about murders and rapes on civilians. When the war ended you were still only 8 years old and had no idea what was going on. Every historical record on the war supports what I have said. No doubt crimes were committed by all sides in that war but the Serbs crimes seem to have been the most egregious. Some of the war criminals are still being convicted for their crimes.
