Equipment from 2.58 is a HCBR (High capacity ballast removal) - pure beast of a machine >:) . Removes old ballast and replaces it with new. Machine 3.47 then arranges the ballast to make sure even coverage over the tacks. And 4.03 is a tamper which aligns the tracks for smooth running. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone!

#4 i'm just browsing rail', yet within the e.u. not all railways agree on that 'not-bolted' iron, even if so proven for speeds up to 250km/h: so all those automatic procedures implemented to non-electrified lines (usually designed for none trans-continental lanes), can't raise an interest unless within the ruhr-basin, or similar commuter-planned line. amazing machines, yet obsolete when taking it to infrastructure development nowadays: commuter flying, maglev, electrified european railway brought to 250km/h and above (some of it still bolted-in for earthquakes prevention, usually). max

Would be a lot easier to use black people, you don't have to spend millions on heavy equipment and when you use black people you have an endless supply of spare parts.

Technology is great, but to think that a group of guys without heavy machinery laid over 10 miles of track in less than 12 hours on April 28, 1869. That record has never been beaten. That just blows my mind.
