They look like lab rats/mice. Wonder if that happens if you take normal squirrel and put it in bleach?

Quite interesting. Its because of humans this albino squirrel even exist in those numbers in that area. For once humans are actually doing a good thing instead of wiping a species out.

And i thought irish tap water had too much chlorine in it god dammm

And also like to point out this is infact #7 this is kind of man messing with nature as i reckon these like most americans take so much pride in them that they wipe out any other colour and are keeping them white

And being albino is not all that great as it has health implications see

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albinism

In other words they are keeping them white just because they have it all over there police force , news paper and shops , while is kinda cruel

huldu These albino squirrels are not a separate species, They are regular gray squirrels with the albino trait. There are albino squirrels elsewhere as well, and gray squirrels are not endangered at all.

#11 because they're so rare. for some reason there happens to be a concentration of them in that area. probably from breeding and the albino gene being passed down. study up on your basic genetics. just like any albino species, for example the white tiger, it's very rare and so they are protecting them. Plus, it's good for the economy, visitors buy white squirrel t-shirts etc.

This is so stupid protecting/idealizing those degenerate albino squirrels. I feel for the cats and dogs that con't even roam about freely.

I think it is great that they put up squirrel crossing signs so the little bushy-tailed tree rats will know where it is safe to cross. :D
