It's videos like these that make me appreciate life more! I respect disabled people. I know what it is to be disabled as my own nephew suffers from cerebral palsy.

Despicable the way some people act towards other people!

Damn straight! The woman at 4:50 totally made my day! We need more people like her to fight for the little guy.

Those are actors. But this actually happens. And that f***ing sucks!

Well.. This comment will probably earn me a pretty bad score, still, I'm going to voice one of my views on this:
Down syndrome put aside (many Down people are indeed capable of relatively normal lives and social outputs) I think that in-womb discoveries of fetal retardation should be regarded as definite abortion cases - having a retarded baby is in no-one's benefit, including the fetus itself, not to mention the total over-crowdedness of Earth by man already.. Special people also need special care, that means resource..

I know how this sounds like, sounds like I'm the biggest chauvinist bastard alive, but think about.. it's true :|

videos like this try to show how badly some people act towards other people, however in only seems to make people with disabilities look worse.
(you have to be so careful how to write these comments as not to offend. i think i did it right :P )

I agree with but i will say it the other way, in the animals world such "irregularities" just die off being incapable of living and sustaining their own life BUT as we are (supposedly) more civilized we save every child (though i suspect children that would only suffer and would not communicate with others at all are killed if that is found early enough).
I agree with the resources issue but you wouldn't want to talk anybody so cold about that if it would involve your child...
I completely agree that everyone wants to live and that he wouldn't want to hear that you ever considered killing him but in too many cases it is our fault through eating medication while being pregnant, smoking, drinking, eating improperly, all the toxins that are accumulated through our whole life HAVE an effect on the children and of course there are DNA spread "abnormalities" which we can't help much but all the rest depends on our doings. Nuff said

I think this is the most important vid i have seen on Snotr. most people are shit, and treat others like shit. Wish there were more of the nicer poeple on this globe...

#4 70 years ago many people in my country would have agreed with you instantly.
In Germany it's still possible to abort a kid with down-syndrome up to the 9th month of pregnancy. That means abortion of a baby that is maybe already capable of living by it's own. And killing it is not allowed so after the abortion it's left to die. Some don't. Now think again!

This kind of stuff does happen but not too often in this exaggerated way... and I honestly think that MOST people are actually good at heart like Anne frank said and like seen on this video.. unless you're in a room full of Nazis and you act this way towards a person you're risking getting ur ass kicked cuz we all have some Kick-Ass in us and it comes out when we see unjust things, it's in our nature unless you were brainwashed to be a dumb fucking nazi thinking moron like # 4 and # 6 he doesn't look like a gangsta anything lol he would be down on the ground wondering where his grill went.

And whoever thinks that persons with down-syndrome are dumber than "normal" people should google "Pablo Pineda".

We should be thankful for what we have, even a single tooth pain is extreme and we would give everything not to have the pain. imagine all the illnesses there are that we know or don't know of... that's why we should appreciate the state we are and be reasonable and apprehensive for those that have an illness or disability.

sizzlik should read makeTnotwars coment more carefully. hes not saying "this is my opinion" hes saying " this is how it used to be/the mind set of people 90 years ago"
Picture of Sizzlik64 achievements

0 22. Sizzlik (admin) commented 14 years ago

#21 ..he said 70..not 90 years ago (and he didnt said they did so...he said they would agree) but it doesnt matter "In Germany it's still possible to abort a kid with down-syndrome up to the 9th month of pregnancy." I dont know what i miss read..please show me any country where its possible to abort in the 9th month...down syndrome or not..
So read more carefully yourself..

I have a sister with down-syndrome who has been working on her own for more than 10 years and I really really appreciate this experiment.

kudos, great upload.

#4 You are wrong, and I must restrain myself very hard not to tell you to do certain things to yourself. My sis is such a great person and so loving and caring and she is living a happy life. You would rather deny that life to spare us the effort to integrate handicapped people. again restraint needed. please rethink your point of view...

#11 This law is under constant discussion and I am not sure if its still valid.. will research.

great vid ty

BTW what if it wasn't a down syndrome person. Are you allowed to complain? The duality of things on the one hand were supposed to treat them the same way as regular people but at the same time we're supposed to give them special treatment?

I hate being politically correct. That's so fake.
Picture of MakeTnotWar38 achievements

+3 25. MakeTnotWar commented 14 years ago

#22 "please show me any country where its possible to abort in the 9th month...down syndrome or not.."
That country is Germany.
You did not google "Spätabtreibung" or "Late-term abortion" did you?
Again: in Germany it's possible to abort a kid with down- syndrome every time during pregnancy up to the point where the first contractions begin.
I got two daughters and was confronted with this during the first pregnancy of my wife. It is true and it still makes me sick that it is possible to kill/let die a living newborn in my country.

Sorry guys for talking german..i just had a question..

I really hate people that do that kind of stuff, its like they dont understand that people with disabilities DO have feelings too
It makes me sick tbh, i've seen people before laugh and point at people and it makes me feel bad to just stand there and do nothing, they are disgusting people and need a reality check, im sure they will all get whats coming to them one day, they need to experience this kind of thing first hand to understand how it feels... ASSHOLES!

Den Link habe ich schon gegeben:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldenburger_Baby
Tim wurde in der 25. Schwangerschaftswoche abgetrieben.
Schwangerschaftwoche:
http://www.brigitte.de/gesundheit/frauengesundheit/spaetabtreibung-1063750/

This show is from a series called "What would you do?" that is on ABC and covers many different topics. This was one of the best of them. All of the people putting the bagboy down were actors , I wonder if any real shoppers said anything ugly to him.
http://abcnews.go.com/WhatWouldYouDo/

When it comes to treating people, including children ,badly , this is what we have to fight to stop in the world. It is horrible but happens all the time in some countries.
