Dirty hippie, why don't you go in to research and actually help others instead of trying to dictate your warp sense of reality onto other.

They have admitted that killing whales isn't research but for culture and eating. It’s worth BIG dollars! So much so, those 1000 whales is enough money to make it worth sailing around the entire world with dozens of ships and supporting crew, fuel, helicopters, any god knows what else! Let alone the final profit at the end of the day. I haven't heard any of you stick up for killing a tiger or an elephant. Why should a whale be off the list of endangered species?
The TV show is an Australian TV show. Its EXTREEMLY funny! The actor is hardly racist, actually i’d go look up the meaning of racist before making pitiful claims, as the name suggests they go after anything! Doesn’t matter if you’re blue, white, black, purple green or anything else. It’s to do with politics not belief or racism.

I think it's great. It's not racist whatsoever. It's a fact that most Japanese people don't see any problem with commercial whaling and this is a good, harmless, lighthearted way to bring about awareness.
Japanese people live mostly sheltered lives, isolated from the opinions and viewpoints of the outside world. The few people who venture outside of Japan to visit abroad (like the ones in this clip) generally return home with their eyes opened. I wish everyone here could take a trip abroad to learn about the world.
This is good for them as it shows that outside their own, little sphere, there are people who don't agree with their government and gangster-run fishing racket industry. Perhaps someday, small actions like this will convince enough people to bring about change within their own government. If enough Japanese people told their Diet members that they opposed whaling or dolphin hunting, we might actually see change. But it has to come from within. NO other nation (like Australia) will ever be successful in convincing Japan that what they are doing should be stopped. It's an inward-looking country that's also pretty stubborn to boot.

I wonder why the "Whale Wars" team never goes to Denmark to try and stop the slaughter of thousands of Pilot Whales each year. It is sickening to see and they even let children participate. But at least they do use them for food and not sport.

#14 u talk so high and mighty, ur in a perfect country that never kills animals or ppl for that matter arent u? u are judging an entire country as if ur better than them, and they are isolated etc, what do u know about the outside world. whenever u feel better than somone, its a sign that ur missing something, rethink and ull see what i mean
