World's largest swimming pool!
The pool is in Chile in the San Alfonso Resort. 250 thousand cubic meters of water, deepest part is 35 meters, all sea water. It took 5 years to build it, and the cost was about one billion euro's!

that is damn epic, and the 35m deep makes me dream... one question though: if it if filled with sea water, what is the interest of going to the pool when you have the sea 15m behind the pool ?

I would take a dumb in there and see how the clean it!
Would the take all the water out
#21 says a billion euro's... which is a bit more
Now what we need is just a wave coming in from the ocean and the whole pool is ruined ![]()
#5 thanks for the tinyurl , and also from wiki
"It cost about US$ 3.5 million (€2.8 million) to build.[5][6] The pool has been attracting tourists since it opened in December 2006."
I knew a billion was a stupid figure , And #21 its in chile, so what about all the jobs the locals got and what about all the tourists it brings to there country might have cost a bit but in the long run it brings people there and thats good for them and there not exactly the richest country in the world

no reason to do such a thing next to a beach and destroy the beach..sea is right next to you..
but its a cool pool.
i wonder what they use to clean the pool! I wonder if they use like 100,000 creepy crawler pool cleaners!
#7 How do you think they fill the pool?
#22, Come on, say the truth! Say you like the little cottage I lent you for holidays... ![]()
That pool has water from the ocean but is treated otherwise the contamination will be enormus, thats why you can see diferent color between the two source of waters like in the google map posted up...

How even more awesome would this pool be if it had real Live Dolphins just living in there that u can swim with.
according to law in parts of Europe, people (individually, or collectively as families, or through legal entities' agency) may own forests, or land on steep mountain sides, yet not rivers, or seas, or lakes, unless in part and only w/ regard to make use of its surface, so called entitled to gathering civil fruits such formations could provide humans w/. so ..this 'New Vegas in the Hood', may rise at least few eyebrows when at imaging Banks securities, and property: I would start wondering new legal approaches, preparing for Moon slicing, building new tools to dig money from a Bank ![]()
