Lucky thing that those mice were mindless eaters. Can you imagine that if they were intelligent enough after seeing a mouse die of potion learn to avoid poison and migrate to other areas?

just read online about the 3 Km's long Egg bed of Locust's ready to hatch after the flooding in NSW. So another plague coming soon.

Apparently the egg's expand about 3 Km's and about 5 cm's deep. :S Mice eat everything and so do Locust's.

Australia has such a fragile fauna. Some days ago I read that camels are the latest problem of australia. In those deserts they there breed like crazy and the are no natural enemies for them.

#13 the problem is the same one everywhere else in the world... rather than embrace a new landscape, people tried to make it the same as where they came from. Australia has a huge list of introduced species (plant and animal) that are wreaking havoc on our land, the sad part is, most were introduced on purpose or left to run wild after escaping domestication (i.e. camels).

I remember this plague, it was pretty intense. I can't recall anything this bad since '93, but full credit has got to go to the farmers and people who battled through it and picked up the pieces on the other end.
