#5 is right, to test wipe some chocolate of your arm skin with toilet paper, sandpaper, newspaper what ever, and smell it after to see if it is nice and clean...

#12 If you live in a place where you squat over a hole in the ground and wipe with your fingers or a clod of clay,then using some water afterwards would be wise.
But in countries with proper toilets, using toilet paper is much more hygiene , especially since we take baths every day,not just once a month or so. Plus we have no taboo against touching others with our left hands.
