And once they retire the only thing they got out of it is a caved in nose, busted hearing and poor eyesight. Still, fun to watch though ![]()
rugby is a sport for gentleman, this is the other side, this is a sport for the biggest dumbasses in the world.

Your comment is wrong in so many ways. Alot of the fighters you saw in this video are or have been champions. Fedor Emalianenko had a 32-0 winstreak before he was finally beaten a few months ago. You think he was a dumbass? All physical and no brain?
You can have all the strength in the world but if you don't know how to put it to use, you can still be beaten easily by a somewhat weaker yet smarter opponent. These guys fight against the best of the best, both physically and mentally. Fedor has beaten opponents that are stronger, larger and faster than him by intelligence.
If you really think they are dumb, I can only conclude that you, in fact are the not-so-bright-one. Please refrain from blessing us with your ignorance in the future.

#11 I have to agree , I dont get whats so great about 2 grown men beating the shit out of each other. Its not entertainment its like back in the roman times , something to keep the plebs happy and content.

this is not a sport at all, we look like animals or even worst!
#12 If your argument is one of ethics then you are free to think of the MMA sport what you like. I was just pointing out the error about fighters or fighting-enthousiasts being dumb, which is based on nothing. I don't understand why you compare it specifically to the Roman age tho. Fighting for sport has been in this world before ánd after the Romans brought out the gladiators. Just because you don't see it on TV a whole lot doesn't mean it isn't happening.
And keeping the plebs happy and content is something that all proffesional sports do. Some hit a ball, others hit a head. Most of these fighters respect their opponent and congratulate them even after bitter defeat. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and saying they should fight. They all fight because they want to.
#13 Humans are one of the few creatures on the earth that kill their own race. In fact they have been murdering eachother ever since the first few 'men' were spawned. Comparing humans to animals is an interesting way to spend your time but you should get your facts straight before you engage in such activities.
Awwww looks so fun! I'd love to get in the ring at least once in my life.
*daydreams about being the toughest guy ever*
cool, 1:35 (the kick-shot), 1:47 (again the kick-shot), 2:31 (clearly showing control over that opponent).

Here is no honor, just violence.
I hate MMA... martial artist with honor wont hit people on the ground.
MMA is a way of life for these people. It may be a really violent life but its what they love. some people like to feel nice and loved and some people just want the pain... so if you dont like it move on and go watch golf or something.

#18 But martial artists do strike on the ground. Along with using grappling, throat strikes, eye gouges, groin kicks, headbutts.
Watch a good Karate kata demonstration and carefully watch the moves. I recommend "Unsu"
You have watched too many movies.
#19
o if people like to be violent ( cause they feel like that), then it's ok by you?
Do you feel bad when people fight like animals? Well I do. ( Many times while watchin MMA)
#18:
I love karate, i do karate, but i would never strike my opponents throat, eyes or groin (on purpose)... i dont have to, you dont have to... you can win without these "dirty tricks".
Kata is one thing and fighting is somewhat different... you know that.
Yes, i know what kata is for, but still ,you will not use those technics in a kumite fight.
BUT, there are some fighters in MMA who are capable fighting with style and "clean" (my respect )
and there are many (sadly), just jumping over eachother and just choppin for ... i dont know what for....
So , dont choose the Dark Side ! Walk among the Light Side of the warrior's path....
I dont look down on MMA, just cant agree the way they fight.

#22 I was about to say that just now thanks for saving me the trouble...
QUIT USING THIS MUSIC FFS
besides it dishonors the awesome movie its from.
#21 I would feel bad if they were beign forced to do it. but in this case, these people are doing it because its what they live for and they love it.
im no one to judge someone else's passion ![]()
#23 I wouldn't compare mindless people with ak47's to proffesional martial arts fighters.
#25 why should they be mindless and this fighters not ? i sertainly don't agree of what they are doing, but they are not stupid, far from, otherwise afganistan would not be a second vietnam would it ?
I have always wondered why, when someone is trying to kill someone else they put him in jail, but when this happens on stage they call it sport. In my opinion everybody who enjoys such fights deserve to be beaten to blue and black to see how it is. Very funny indeed. Enjoy the show.
Comparing MMA to taliban. The interwebz and its users never seize to amaze me.
#27 Nobody said anything about MMA being funny? And the logic you use is kind of strange. If I say "people that -don't- enjoy such fights should get beaten blue and black" I make about as much sense as your reasoning.
I'm not a big fan of rugby but I do respect the people playing it. If I make a remark like: "Rugby is for stupid people that can only run after a ball and kick it" you wouldn't take me seriously either right?
Use your brains. Certainly when judging about something you obviously don't have knowledge of.
Even how horrid it looks, this is still a sport. Theres a still a chunk of techniques that are meant for combat which are far more brutal and deadly than this.
Finally some muscles put to real use, not just beefed up gym maniacs walking around like they are invincible ![]()
@ 0:05 nose broken @ 0:34 head smashed @ 0:39 forehead & nose gone @ 1:01 hammered face @ 1:17 king kong falls off the W.trade cente @ 1:49 flying knee to head @ 2:24 K.O @ 3:10 knee shots to face @ 3:25 i hate the black in yellow UW @ 3:52 donkey kicks @ 4:02 replay ...

#1 this isnt violence, this is a sport...
#23 The Taliban inflicts their form of violence on others who do not want to be involved. MMA fighters train for years to compete in this sport....for fame and money.
i know that they know what they are getting themself into.... but some of thise takedowns are dreadfull to watch

Gladiators have been sentenced to death. Facing violence and death was there only chance to get back the right to live. They had no other choice.
Modern Gladiators are not sentenced by a court. Do they feel so worthless to they choose that destiny, because they don't feel loved without beeing a death facing dumb hero? Don't they feel there right to live without beeing hurt that way?
They don't achive my respect, but rather my pitifulness. I can not prevent people doing so. I don't want to judge about those people. But Spectators should be aware, that their attention and their response may be one important reason for those (in my opinion sick) fights.
Thanks for giving me an impression of what people do calling it sport. I don't need to see further videos like that.

#40 Don't you feel you're being a little melodramatic here?
I've been training and competing in MMA since the late 90's before it was popular and before it was mainstream.
Before that, I was doing Judo and wrestling, Before that, kickboxing, and even further back, Karate.
Some people play soccer. Some people play golf. I fight.
I don't fight for your respect.
I fight to my coaches and my team and all the hard work they've put in to running the training.
I fight to test myself physically and mentally. To test these skills I have learnt. To know my limitations and to keep my mind sharp and focused under pressure. To push beyond those limits if necessary. All of this against equally well trained and likeminded competition.
Just like any other sport.
I feel that there are a lot of sanctimonious pricks in here that need to get off their high horses, and learn to respect other peoples choices. Your judgmental attitudes are a lot closer to the Taliban than the you would like to admit.

#41 hahah.
i don't believe you've been doing all these sports and saying all those 'wise' things. i just believe you saw 'the karate kid' too much.
but i agree those unknowing people are acting nerd. gladiators, taliban and all those shit. wtf?
it's just a sport. i do kickboxing for almost 2 years and i still like it. in my gym are no matches, because where i practise is just to keep young people off the streets. i am allowed to come there because i know the owner. i wanna do a match once, but then i have to pay for a other gym xD
but seriously, it's a nice sport and good for confidence 'n stuff. this sport is the most technical sport i have ever practised! before this i have done tennis, wakeboarding and dancing and i wanna go on with kickboxing.
