Weird all round. Why walk out in front of a speeding car? Why did the car not even try and brake? Why were they so relaxed and more interested in checking out the skateboard than feeling very lucky to be alive?

Well just to be fair, it looks like outer city, so the speed limit is higher. Driver probably saw them, but apparently there was the black sedan behind him, so he didn't wanted to take the risk of getting hit behind.
N'ah just forget about it. He was an asshole who doesn't give a shit to human life. I hate being the devils advocate

#2 What the fuck is wrong with the driver? Really? How about what the fuck is wrong with two teenagers who don't even know not to wander into the street? They almost caused that car to hit the sign; asses who need a swat upside the skull, both of em.

It wasn't until the replay that i noticed that they didn't look for cars at all. It is a little late to look when you are in the middle of the road.

That would not happen here in the Province of Québec, roads & streets belong to cyclists. Not to stupid cars. Even train tracks belong to us, if a train arrive, it just have to slow down and stay behind!

#20 - I've been to Quebec MANY times! The driver of the blue car is a LOT safer than most of the drivers I've seen there. The driver was able to read what was happening with those two idiot kids (who wander aimlessly onto what looks to be a 2-lane highway without looking) and swerved - watch the video.
Also, if cyclism is a way of life, then treat the drivers and pedestrians with the same respect you want them to show you, monsieur (since it's THEIR way of life). Plus, modern ROADS were built for CARS. If you want a place to cycle, try a BIKE LANE if you can't share the road. It's the drivers that have had to try to change their ways because of pompous idiots like you.

That car had to swerve all the way over to the shoulder of the oncoming lane!
@15: I think it's because they didn't know which way to run, because they couldn't tell right away which way the car was going to go. As they passed the center of the highway they were moving into the lane the car was in. Once they saw that the car was swerving to its left they started motivating in the other direction.

The road is also WET making stopping in time almost impossible. That's why the car swerved behind them. 3 cheers for that driver's quick thinking!

@20: That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I think if Province of Quebec is telling bicyclists they can ride on the railroad tracks, it's because they're trying to get rid of ignorant bicyclists.

Or even better, the blue car is overtaking the black car and the 2 idiots are stuck between them so the blue car cannot see them until late (thought they would have crossed) and misses them
