Thats nothing. What you don't see is the guy standing on his shoulders and the guy who is on that guys head balancing on a uni cycle and then the other guy who is doing a one handed handstand on his head.

what a awesome view. With the safety-rope the walk is OK.
But I am not really relaxed when viewing the viedo even if I could imagine to walk that path too, if I would be there.

Maybe your wondering about some things... in 1999 and 2000 some people died because they did fall. and in 2010 in february another guy died because he fell. Yet there are saftey ropes but accidents are inevitable.
To this day it remains illegal to cross. Authorities have gone as far as to destroy the beginning and end of the path in an attempt to discourage people from using it,
however it is not policed and many climbers still find their way onto the treacherous walkway.
A little bit further in the source article:
In October 2008 President of Malaga Provincial Government, Salvador Pendon, announced plans for the restoration of El Caminito del Rey. Cost: 6.6 million euros. Duration of the repair: about 5 years.

#11 I read the same story about the supposed plans to restore El Caminito del Rey, But it seems nothing has come of it. It appears as though it has deteriorated a lot more since the original video and with both ends now destroyed it's really not worth the risk of climbing on it.

We did this walk with a group called barbary rock adventures last year. You should look at their video. They made us super safe, it was awesome.

I was up there last week and although a thrill….I was scared from beginning to end!! very scared. I can’t say I’d ever recommend anyone trying the Caminito, its in very bad condition. We have just come out of our wettest winter in 70 years and the rain hasn't helped much. A Italian climber came off in March of this year (2013) when the safety cable snapped. He fell more than 80m and miraculously only suffered a few fractured ribs. Then again its now or never, the authorities are closer than ever before to reforming it!! hope you enjoy the video we took up there http://www.spain-holiday.com/Alora/articles/el-caminito-del-rey-malaga – glad I did it, but must say, I am in no rush to go back!!!
