Amazing footage! Do you see all the pollution on the top of the mountains? You start to see a lot starting 3:20 . Snow is supposed to be white ;-)

after watching this, you might think im crazy...but Mt.Everest is only rated as the 9th most dangerous mountain to climb.

the No.1 spot goes to Mt.Annapurna, also in Nepal, with the highest fatality rate.

No.2 is K2, in Pakistan, which also the second highest peak in the world and is considered the most technically difficult mountain to climb.

No.3 is Nanga Parbat, also in Pakistan. also known as 'The Man Eater'

....imagine what these mountains must be like :|

#6 the north side of everest is less difficulty than the south side shown here just for the khumbu icefall. i'd like to see how the south side is rated to these other mountains.

Lots of rope...I wonder how they retrieve the ladders & rope after they have gone on or down a shear cliff???
They should melt a path through the bottom of the glacier all the way through, then they could get up without danger!!!

#3, Hence the safety lines.(But, yes I agree) #4, not pollution, just dirt. (looks like it, but not) At times there will be littering, as in 2:10

Most nerve racking: 2:01

I can't wait to see part two of when they actually rescue the stranded global warming researchers! But really, they should just use a helicopter next time.

The Pass of Caradhras seems more difficult :) I heard that there team leader's name was Gandalf. ;)

Seriously, I'd like to see the whole video in full HD 3D !!

litter is usually oxygen tanks or dead bodies. they have started a program for sherpas to earn extra money for every oxygen tank they bring back down from the summit.

(i) Each week I climb the Mount Royal in Montréal to train myself for Everest. Once Everest done, I'll post the video here.
