i dont know exactly, but this video explains that if they fight and fall on the floor then the referees stop then. but all of them enjoy the show first then stop the fighting. :D

When guys fight on ice they fight like bitches, however I would not want to fight any of them on ice or otherwise.
3:09 number 8 proposes a dance (looks like quickstep) :)

officials tolerate fighting during hockey games, they impose a variety of penalties on players who engage in fights. so yeah it's kinda allowed but afterwards... you've been a bad boy

they break them up when they fall so they don't keep going at it while one person is going to be on the bottom (that sounds dirty). it would be pretty lame for the ref to jump in before or in the middle of the fight. i grew up watching/ playing hockey. it earned me a free education so i cant complain about this wonderful, fun sport to play!
