Hopefully that was over the ocean so these death merchants can't hurt anyone!

#3 Let us consider for a moment the speed of the Aircraft. Dropping in after the Hummers you would still wind up quite a ways away. Where as when you Circle back around to the GPS guided landing site and drop the troops you can land them within 15-50 meters away from the hummers every time.

Terrorists: Oh my God! God is sending us free humvees from the skies so that we can escape!!
few minutes laters...
US Soldiers: Where the heck did the humvees go?!

#3 Probably they reposition the plane taking into account where the cars already are, based on gps information...or just have to be done that way considering the difference of weight between the Humvees and the soldiers, and therefore a different distance of landing from the jump site.

#6 You're wrong. The humvees have the alarm systems armed, so that terrorists cannot take them.

Closes the door at the end thinking "why the hell you want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane anyway."

#20 Badboy, the ropes are called the static line. The line is firmly attached to the inside of the aircraft but the other end of the static line is attached to a bag which contains the parachute, which is inside a container, attached to the parachutist. So when exiting the aircraft you 'pass' your static line to the jumpmaster and then leave... you then fall, and as you fall, the static line takes up tension, the bag is pulled out of your parachute container, the parachute then 'leaves' the bag, parachute then is free to open and you float to earth while your static line and bag stay attached to the aircraft.

I saw only 25 people jump out, the other 25 were probably hiding behind the camera man.

They drop the HV's that far away from the soldiers for two reasons.
1. Anything metal dropping through the air like that builds up massive amounts of static electricity. If a soldier were to bump into the thing before it grounded, he'd get fried.
2. Factoring in possible wind resistance and chute failure for both the cargo chute and the manned chute, it is technically possible to end up below the HV, which, in my opinion, is not the happiest place to be.
