You know, those robots as shown in the video are not yet to be seen in hospitals and that stuff. In The Netherlands we have a hospital already that uses robot's like shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2etD3sA4fnQ

People need to look at each others faces. these robot's are nice workaround as a temporary solution, but in the long term, people need people to survive the day to day life. with technology like this, suicide rate's will rise.

#7 there is no limit to the speed and accuracy when it comes to robotics... those are just prototypes for r&d. im sure the movement of the production model will be more life like

#7 i think they are for display only or basic models, once they go into production, the robotics will work like this -

#12. today... is not that far considering how long people have lived togather depending on eachotehr. the single serving lifestyle due to digitalization today has been working for maybe 10 years now. but people still interact daily when the go shopping or what ever outside activity.

simple example: single people going on holiday alone are most likely to kill themselfs during holiday. why? cause nothing is familiar anymore...

These robots are good motivation for people to do these things themselves because it takes forever if you let the robot do them for you.

are we becoming too lazy to take care of the elderly our selves?

You know its not that bad of an idea, seriously. Being a nurse on a cardiac floor, I often have to deal with the elderly, and not too uncommonly, demented patients. I have to say it can be a chore at times, not to mention dangerous. I've had old people spit at me, try to bite me, scratch me...All I can say is go for it old timer, try to take a bite out of a titanium hand!
