The commentator speaks Czech, only 1 of the contestants has russian name.
Acutally saw this kind of competition before in different countries, so no russian-only thingy.

Eh very impressive they were fast as hell but I don't think we would have that in the U.s... being a fire fighter you train for speed but above all else saftey, I would not want to make my men race like this one little mistake going towards the 2n'd floor like that and you will be worrying about something other than 1'st place.

Impressive the way he made it look like one sleek and fluid motion all the way to the top. A better characterization would be like ballroom dancing. Motions of the body that look so effortless. Amazing to watch.

thanks #13, sorry its not very clear and were all just meant to assume FD means fire department... just because theres a few lanky guys in tights climbing up a ladder... dunno what country your from #2, looks more like some weird event in the olympics

#(removed comment) the commentator clearly say that one is from Lithuania and the other is from Belorusia and as #3 said he speaks Czech so no need to misuse the Russia reference.

But the fire department cant actually use this technique because you have to be able to get back down, and with another erson on your back. Really cool climbing skills though.
