this test is senseless, they have put viper( latest model) 450 hp and Ferrari with 370 hp( at least 10 years old maybe even more ), and one of comment is :Well, the Dodge was first at the bottom, sorry dude but your comment is like test race senseless.

i've seen only a documentary showing that vipers are usually allowed on the street only after its owner takes some special driving classes for this particular car; can't say the same for a ferrari.

#20 You are correct about the Viper,it is a second generation GTS that was introduced in 1996. The Ferrari 355 was still in production as late as 1999. (did you hear that #7 ?)
The crash,if it was not faked,was caused by driver error. That Viper,with a cast-iron engine block, is very nose heavy and it takes a lot of skill to take a corner fast. The newer Vipers and the ones that compete in road racing events use an aluminum engine block and heads to lighten-up the front-end and they have won many championships in the US and Europe.

#7: Horsepower is a made up number based on the relationship of tq and rpm. Torque is what actually accelerates you forward. Furthermore, the 355 is one of the best track cars ever made; which is why Ferrari made the Challenge edition out of it and not the dozen other cars in it's line. It's linear power delivery and weight distribution makes it very balanced and predictable (hence it staying on the road). Throw curves and elevation changes in the mix and the 355 wins 10 out of 10 races against the brute Viper.
