I guess it's better than dropping it on a country. Although i'd rather they didn't make the things at all.
#2 Because it is good to know that things like THAT took place.
I didn't know about it before the video.
It is one of historical moment I think ![]()

errmm.. how 'bout it's time America gets off that oh-look-at-me-i'm-awesome horse and STOPS fukkin' around with nuclear bombs "just to see what it looks like"
The Soviets hold the record for the largest atmospheric nuclear blast in history, the Tsar Bomb back in 1961.......
http://www.snotr.com/video/392
"In 1963, all nuclear and many non-nuclear states signed the Limited Test Ban Treaty, pledging to refrain from testing nuclear weapons in the atmosphere, underwater, or in outer space. The treaty permitted underground nuclear testing. France continued atmospheric testing until 1974, China continued up until 1980."
"Underground Tests in the United States continued until 1992 (its last nuclear testing), the Soviet Union in 1990, the United Kingdom in 1991, and both China and France in 1996. After adopting the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty in 1996, all of these states have pledged to discontinue all nuclear testing. Non-signatories India and Pakistan last tested nuclear weapons in 1998."
they didnt tell u guys that this created a EMP wave which fried soo many electronics. but lucky at that time we werent dependent on it that much...also microchips were rare at that time too.

A lot of experts (not saying that the guy in the video I linked to is an expert) have also stated that the US did similar tests in the athmosphere with even bigger bombs than the Tsar Bomba, but they never announced the yield (cuz they knew that that would only make the cold war even worse) in order to prevent the Soviet from demonstrating even bigger bombs.

Why do I have the feeling that this is some kind of "redneck" celebration ceremony, like a birthday party or maybe a cow wedding? HMMM....
