#(removed comment) That's *Richard* Dawkins, and your badly-described scenario is explained, in detail, here:

http://www.skeptics.com.au/publications/articles/the-information-challenge/

The rest of your spiel makes too little sense to debunk. Evolution - the common descent of all living things, and their change over time - is an observed fact of the world. Evolutionary theory, in is many facets, is an attempt to explain that observed fact.

Elaine Morgan's aquatic ape theory, however, is unscientific nonsense.

dumbass

about the salt: you do know that salt is being deposited all over the place. and you also know that salt can be mined in mountains. now i point to wegener and his discovery of continental drift which leads to the explaination why those mountains are there.

i leave the rest to you.

oh and by the way, try to think once a day it might help you out.

#(removed comment) I am about to blow your mind...wait for it...God created the earth, therefore God created nature and everything dealing with nature. Which means that God created natural selection. God therefore uses natural selection to create. It is actually pretty cool if you think that God created the laws of nature and all.

Next week God and the Big Bang (One step at a time).

well #11 ..that answers the evolution theory...it started with creatures lay eggs....over time it evolved to the first chicken..wich layed the first chicken egg =) The question is no specific enough...logical seen..the egg was first..since already dinosaur birds layed eggs..way before the common chicken. So if it would say "What was first..chicken or egg?"..it was the egg..."Cicken or chicken egg?"..it was the chicken.

And #16...i totally agree with you..who created god? And who created god's creator...and so on..

I dont mind people have their believe and religion..but this debatte about Science got no proof..its hillarious...does religius people got any proof? I think they got less then science got. They have a book written 2000 years ago (By humans)..but we know earth is older than that.

Its up to people what they believe..but makin a big debatte of it is stupid. And every person who diggs a bit into this theme would know.
I dont want to be offensive..so dont get it wrong..but many (not all) religious people are simply stubborn and not open minded for reality. I mean..comeon..there was a spirit who snapped a finger and all of a sudden the universe existed?

I know i will get massive downrating now..but i had to say my 2 cents about it =)

There are plenty of humans with hair, beside just on their head. While it might be hard to actually see due to media and the fact that people shave because of the media.

Humans can be born with something resembling a tail, of course it has no bone. But once in time we had a tail. Just like once in time we had hair on our body.

I am pretty certain that in the far future humans wont have *any* hair on the body. Amongst that i would not be surprised if humans were to decrease in size while their head grew(due to the brain). Humans are bigger than they need to be. We are no longer hunting, our body knows this. Things happen so slowly that its impossible to tell a change based on our lifetime. We would have to go forward in time 250k years at least! If a change were to happen, fast, it would most likely be called a "freak" and thats about it.

It would be silly to say that we humans are fully "evolved". We clearly are not. This is due to our surroundings constantly changing. Most of us work in an office, spending most of our days in a chair, beating on a keyboard. Small things like that affects us and our offspring.

#(removed comment) Do you believe in unicorns? No? Why? Prove to me they DON'T exist! Do you understand my point? This is the stance that ALL people who believe in God have to take. You want us to prove that God doesn't exist, which is nearly impossible to do. Just as impossible as it is for you to prove that unicorns don't exist. It's a laughable stance that religious people take.

I don't need faith or theory to know that we are THE PROCESS of an intelligent form of life. Every single thing in this universe has multiple levels of complexity and empirical studies show that only an intelligent form of life can combine infinite complexities in a cell.

We are here by chance u say? I say wow, that chance factor is pretty brainy and purposeful...

Human beings are not special in any way. We just happen to be here. And after we're gone, and the human race is totally extinct, then another species will become the dominant one on Earth. Will it be ants, cockroaches, rabbits? No-one knows. But millions of years from now, the planet's population will look very different. Incidentally, God has nothing to do with any of this, because God does not exist.

what she never said all evolutionists actually say to her stupid question is that no evolutionist ever said that we evolved from chimpanzees--we didn't used to be chimpanzees! we didn't just up and say "i don't want to be a chimp," and then "shed our fur"

we are a separate species that diverged a long long long long long time ago--i'd say just out of the range of the female specimen in this video.

I think shes onto something. Its not that impossible that humans evolved in/near water and adopted to it. Anyway, it really does not matter what we were ten million years ago. Its what we will become and were we will travel in the future. Watermonkeys from earth colonizing the universe !! UGH!!

Is it lack of knowledge or pure denial?

Picture of netboy27 achievements

#17 OK, lets start from the beginning. Evolution says amino acids developed into proteins, & then proteins into cells & so on. So what are the chances of 2,000 proteins forming (at random) to make the "building blocks" to 1 cell (keep in mind you need roughly 200,000 proteins for 1 cell)?
Science says it is 1 chance in 10 to the power of 400,000 (That is 10 followed by 400,000 zeros.)
That is equivalent to the chance of rolling a dice and getting a six 5,000,000 times in a row. Impossible? Yes.
Why impossible? Because even science has said that any event with odds of 10 to the power of 50 or over is impossible.

I have corresponded with Mrs Morgan personally and she is a brilliant writer/speaker and an excellent proponent for an interesting, and terrifyingly logical, theory. While I believe in the basis for the theory, what I do not agree with is the timeline they propose. They suggest that it was one aquatic stage that accounts for all the evolutionary differences between us and the great apes, while I am confident that it was 2 separate events that defined our evolutionary path. I have a video on youtube, but its not snotr.com worthy.

Anyone miss good ol' mininova? It was my fav torrent site.....

FTV "If I'm a good Darwinist, I've got to believe there's a reason for that"

That's a perfect example of blind faith. Don't believe me? Let me make it easier to recognize.

"If I'm a good Creationist, I've got to believe there's a reason for that"

Obviously there is a difference between a Creationist and a Darwinist, but this is not one of them.

The reason for people to attempt to discover new information through physical means is just as illogical as the reason for people to attempt to discover new information through spiritual means.

Instead of using our differences to segregate us from one another, why don't we use our similarities as a common ground for being peaceable towards people who are different from us?

In the United States it took time, but African Americans were given the rights they deserved. Then, women were too. Now, gays are fighting for "equality". I use quotes because despite equality granted by the government, the two previous groups have certain pros and cons that no other group has.

Darwinists, I disagree with you on some level, and I don't believe your evidence supports the theory.

Creationists, I disagree with you on some level, and I don't believe your evidence supports the theory.

Both sides, stop wasting everyone's time arguing your points and teaching your opinions as facts.

Peace.

#27 Any odd different from zero is POSSIBLE! Simple math.
The number of fails and the time involved might be superior to your life span, but if there IS AN ODD, THE POSSIBILITY IS REAL!

And if there was an intelligent lifeform behind protein and ultimately human creation...where did thet inteligent lifeform came from?

God is the mathematical equivalent to X. When I come to a variable I can't sort out, I put God there, but only temporarily...'till I reach a new X.

The truth is a neverending matryoshka!

Creationists just gave up trying to find it... and they just might be right, it's probably a big waste of time, because good old MR.X will always be there.

"It's not special to be the only specie on earth that can organize and materialize its thought?"

#26. No, it's not special, anymore than it's special when you roll 2 dice and they come up a double-6. It just happened! Next roll could be any other of 36 combinations. The human race likewise, is here by chance. The next 'roll' could leave ants as the dominant species. That wouldn't make them special either.

If this is too difficult to accept, then just make it easy on yourself and believe that a Creator God made the human race. You'll be happy and sleep easy at night and convince yourself that heaven awaits you after death, when in fact the only thing that awaits you after death, is exactly the same thing that you had before birth. Do you remember that?

#30 2nd dumbest answer I've ever heard (2nd only to "But your wrong";) . Then why does science & math say its impossible?
How about I put it this way: If I put the 15 parts required to make a butcher's cleaver into a bath tub of water, and stirred it for a billion years, would it assemble itself? Impossible? Then why would it be possible for the 200,000 proteins to perform the same sequence?

#31 It just happened????

Ok seriously, name me one thing that `` just happened `` in this world?
You can't, right! Normal, because every single thing is a process with a point of origin. Do you know a house that built itself out of chance?
The misunderstanding is only a word thing. In this case, what you call chance, i call god or maker. It's the same pal...

Though, I agree when you say that after death, we'll return to our initial status. In that reality after death (if there's one) we could even have been our own makers, who knows? But Believing in a maker has nothing to do with Heaven, Hell or religion, it's just a matter of comprehension of the universe and its ingredients.
My point is, there is defenitly intelligence behind all of this.

Well, the Theory of the Annunaki (Which is Summerian for: ``Those who descended from the heavens´´ ) The Theory goes that those who descended from the heavens came from ``Planet 12´´ and that we are a product of being geneticilly modified from the species Homo Erectus to what we now call Homo Sapiens Sapiens, to act out as slaves for their operations here on Earth.
aledgedly "proof/evidence" of this wa recorded by many historical cultures around the globe did hieroglyphs of weird devices descending from the heavens (ships crewed by the ``Annunaki´´ and them wearing suits of alien technology). This theory might aswell be one way to view the creation of man from an alternative perspective.
