Honestly, I don't get what everyone thinks is so great about this. If you want to go somewhere around the corner, you can walk. If you want to be there a little faster or need to go a little further, get a bicycle. If you still need to go faster or much further, take the car or motorcycle. What else do we need? Are we really this lazy and out of shape, that we need something to drive EVERYWHERE by motor, even INTO another form of transportation (the elevator)..?
Sure, it is probably fun to drive like a quad or a segway (or whatever that thing was called), but it is certainly not this huge transportation breakthrough. And I'm sorry, not in a million years will it look cool. It has always and most likely will always look like an over-sized toy, because (apart from perhaps a few exceptions and the funfactor) it is effectively useless.
#12 watch the whole video and maybe you will understand. The point is, have the flexebilty of a bike, but dont need the "storage" room for it.

Your pessimism for this entrepreneur's vision oozes of jealousy. I may be wrong about that; but I can also say you're wrong to stifle human innovation will your lame criticisms. This man has created an alternate form of transportation that is electric... I can already see a huge potential market for this type of product, especially since fossil fuels are on their way out. You also never know what's to come; what will version 2 look like? Will version 10 be able to cross rivers? Just because this piece of equipment is of no use to you does not mean that it doesn't have it's place. Mailmen could deliver a boatload of parcels if they had these machines that allowed them to carry a larger payload and cover a larger distance. The pizza man would get you hotter zaa's for sure. And the chicken? At least I got my chicken.

Amazing machine, transformable, durable, storable... looks easier to ride than a regular unicycle too, even in the retractable state. So why isn't this being sold everywhere yet??
