Ranger98... there was ofc, i was standing around Burj alarab, the fire work were longer over there. and we could see Burj khalifa too :P was epic.

#1 Because everybody else in that region is poor and why waste a cent on small fireworks if you can see this from pretty much everywhere in the neighborhood.

You can see Burj Khalifa from all over Dubai, and whole dubai doesent light up :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCnRK4trVaE that was for the opening of Palm Jumeirah, equally if not more spectacular in my opinion :D

Strange looking at Dubai before oil was discovered i have a picture in 1960

I think its funny how from ground level those mortar shells look so high, yet from a distance, they look about 50 feet in the air when compared to the rest of that building.
