Now I'm just an Aussie and our winters aren't so cold, but can I make a few obvious suggestions to you people who do get snow and Ice?
1. Don't jump on frozen ponds.
2. Tires don't work on ice.
That will do, I won't overload your brains.

#5 I like to think the woman walking up to the smart car is the one that pushed it free 
btw, this is exactly why I choose to live in Florida, then the only ice or snow I see is in my drink or on snotr.

Don't some of those SUVs have 4 wheel drive?! And if it's that snowy or icy why not use chains around the tires?!

#10 they do got AWD, and its not a tractor that you're driving, the chains will do more damage to the car than it will be of use. Doubt that the cars with bigger engines will go with chains when they're not allowed dubs. And most of the vids are not fails, it's just ice being ice.

#11 the chains would only do damage to the car if they are loose, any normal fitting chains can be applied to any vehicle just gotta make sure they are the right diameter for the wheels

People are being stubborn, thinking they can drive on ice like every other day. They lose.

No animal has so low instinct like human. As people intelligence decrease, government is lowering speed limits. At this rate, the highways speed limit in the province of Quebec will be 30 km/h.

You don´t need chains if you learn how to control your car in winter conditions. Its mandatory in countries like Sweden, Norway and Finland. Lesson number one: Don´t lock your brakes!!! But it´s sure fun to watch when people do

It's perfectly ok to drive your car with normal winter tires and cause all sort of mayhem.
Drive with studded tires like the Scandinavians. Oh no cant have that.

you would think they would know at lest the top 5 rules of winter and cars and the what not s should i do when the car starts to slide ,No1 rule of what not to do when car starts to slide on ice !
( do not brake and slowly remove your foot off the gas )

Screw winter, I am going to light some tires on fire to speed up global warming
