I wish there was a new attack helicopter game, one for PCs, not a arcade console port crap...

Hehe! they mostly use the same type of game engine today as way back when. Skyboxes and textures in a 3d box. much prettier now though

@1 The point was to show evolution of the genre, not what the best games were.

I have played every single one of these except "killer" right at the beginning 
Skips a bit too much at the end: shouldve been Operation Flashpoint instead of Arma2 and Red Faction for first time destructability

Thanks for uploading this, brings back so many lost hours in which i had to learn for school
and be honest, a lot of those old games had better gameplay than the games of today

Duke Nukem 3D (1996) was the first one i ever played...and since then....i'm still playing (sometimes) 
too bad Battlefield 2 wasn´t in this compilation...i still play that cuz i don't have a computer that would run those new games like CoD MW or BF BC2
I don't have a console either!
But it doesn't matter cause I really need to focus on my school right now and I don't have time for those incredibly good-looking games that are probably like drugs

#9 Bad Company is at the end of the video... but what they need to show is the preview for Battlefield 3! No joke, it puts everything to shame!

what about CDS (conflict desert storm) S.T.A.L.K.E.R., BF serries, horror FPS and such 
there yre rly nice games here, but some are seriously left out that should've been here !!

This vid makes me feel old. At the same time, I'm proud to have witnessed almost the whole development of a new art form. Who knows, maybe we'll be watching the 60-years-of-fps on snotr one day.

Being a fps gamer I must say I absolutly loved this. From Goldeneye 1997 I've been hooked and it doesn't look like its gonna change

Sniff sniff... I just watched my entire childhood in less than five minutes.. Good thing I am all grow'd up now so I can afford better games with better graphics!

They should have included portal, now that was completely unique and new for FPS, great video though!
