#1 your probably right for most of the stuf. but I think a couple think is going to appen in a near future. whit OLED tech u can do a lot of those things. And if you take the photo electric glass from the maybach sunroof and u got the window from the bedroom
Did the guy really walk to the tv and turn it on?!?
I'd rather have ugly-ass tv with a remote control than this glassy one without it.
#1, #2 Just remember the AT&T 'Have you ever....you will' ads. Those were only 15 years ago and all of that stuff has come to pass. In fact, a lot of it is even *better* than what they pictured in the ads.

What? No sex at the end? What kind of world is that? ![]()
A few of those tecnologies are already present in R&D departments of tech industries and universities; however they will remain "demos" at least for a some years because of the costs and the state of the reasearch (the most important thing that is needed is a strong and flexible glass/plastic). However, ten years ago a cellphone with colours was a "toy", and the term "smartphone" didn't exist yet...

So in the future men will cook and take care of the kids while wives will go to work and earn their money ?
I want to be unfrozen from my cryogenic fridge after that problem is solved... preferably sometime when the cooked food will be available at the push of a button ![]()

This is someone's idea of a perfect future? What a load materialistic gadget garbage. ![]()
And there will be fingerprints all over.
Btw: Polymers are the way to go, not glass! They are 3-4 times less dense, which means less weight... and one can apply a lot of other properties!

Ok, everything's look perfect, but in counterpart will we be forced to use iTunes? ![]()
much of the items are in use now like wall screens and Fridge and car screens - but really - a counter top or glass phone with embedded camera - the camera is the hard part - or actually the lens and processor, You know you can already buy glasses that change your prescription as you look down it switches to reading in a blink of an eye. Way cool
One of the things that works as a speedbump against a vision like this is people being pessimistic, saying we will never, or not for a long time, come this far.
At the beginning of the century did ANYONE believe a human would step on the surface of the moon?
30 years ago, let alone 50, did anyone believe that we would carry mobile phones connected to a world wide web being able to talk to others almost anywhere on the planet aswell as guiding us to destinations via satellites accurate within just a few meters/yards having screens with hundreds of thousands of pixels being able to capture HD video and even higher resolution pictures plus having the storage capacity of thousands of pictures or hours of video plusplusplus?
Within a single lifetime technology has changed our lives to an unimaginable level.
Open your mind for the ideal...for the future is coming, so let's not make our imaginations compromise our potential.
Thank you.
In todays world, although this tech would be really nice, I just can't see it ever taking off. They'd put up glass billboards only for hooligans to smash it down within days. Rince and repeat. It'd cost a fortune.

Keep dreaming. It's not going to happen any time soon. Not until the Vulcans make first contact.....

The makers of Windex just had a massive orgasm. Corning wants a world filled with smudgy, finger-oiled glass. Ugh.

sadly, thats not the future we will be getting anytime near, maybe in 40 years, if alien wont invade in 2012.
