No real artist draws a portrait by starting in one point and growing out from there, they sketch structure lines etc. - this was obviously traced from a pic underneath, as pointed out by #10. Anyone can draw like this with minimal practise.

#18 Generally you will start with the eyes. once you have them right every thing else falls in to place around them. It's the way I was thought.
