haha that is really weird for sure. But there is weird stuff on tv like this here every morning that my kids love to watch. Japan has the shittiest tv shows in the world. Just couple are interesting here I think. Thank god for bittorent!

In Japanese "guru-guru" means to roll, or turn round and round like a sphere... The creature she turns into kinda looks like a "dango-mushi" or "sphere bug" in Japanese. In English they're sometimes called roly polies or pillbugs.
