This is a water retention pond in Hawaii, not meant to be used for recreation, but collect clean drinking water and perhaps prevent erosion.

I was expecting a monster attack or something dramatic, what with the music and the way it was shot.

I'm originally from Kauai, Hawaii and they have those all over the islands if you know where to go. They're old agricultural water reservoirs, but most are in disrepair, not plasticized, on private property, and subject to decades of dangerous erosion -- such as the one on the North Shore of Kauai in 2006 that breached and wiped out roads, homes, one of which had a family inside.

#9, your link has regional limitations. If you are serious you will find a way to show it to everyone.
