Reminds me od Rimfall from Discworld - they should build a huge net and just collect the fish every once in a while

They were probably put there by helicopter from Human Planet to get some nice footage and give us a scare

#3 This would cause an amazing amount of harm to the fish population, they would decrease in number quickly, slowing down the reproduction cycle.

Sometimes I wish I lived in these parts of the world, forgotten all forms of technology and lived like tribesmen. Such a simple life with merely the absence of depression of community.
