At least he didn't kill anyone. Not a year goes by without a bunch of police officers killing themselves or innocent bystanders with reckless driving.

In case you didn't notice, when there's a marked car on signal, coming at your direction, you're supposed to make a way for it. Though that cop was waaaay too trusty. Each time there's an ambulance or a police car rushing for the rescue, I see complete morons not stopping at all, and filling up all the lane's. I'm not saying they must stop, but a little bit of imagination would do the trick. Instead the car on signal has to make it's way, which slows it down a lot. I just hope that when I'll be the one waiting for them to arrive, such thing like on this video won't happen.
#2 What ya gunna do when they come.. at you at 100mph.
#6 Rather difficult to make way for someone who's travelling so fast. Yeah, emergency services have to rush in an emergency, but there's "rushing", and then there's "being an idiot".
That pole, without question, prevented the impending head on collision that in all probability would have ended the lives of anyone positioned in front of that squad car. The people directly behind the pole are very lucky to be living at this moment.

#6 You are right about people having to open their way for the police/ambulance to move. However, the first reaction people get is to slow down so that they can see how they can make a way for the police/ambulance to get through. If everyone rushed at the moment of a signal it would become chaotic and create more accidents.

driving like this in my country and causing this mess will give you a prison sentence of maybe 1-2 years for wreckless driving,
i wonder what happened to this idiot.
nothing probably.
#6 agree with you .if you hear police/firefighter/ambulance don't fuckin stay in their way so they can do their job .and for thouse who say that car was going way to fast....fuck of!! they are cold emergency units for a reason !!! they must respond prompt to a danger .
#6 and #19, i'm sorry but the police car was driving way too fast for the cars that was turning left on that traffic light to actually hear or see him coming to react fast enough to get out of the way

#everyone who said about the cop driving too fast
I didn't say he wasn't driving too fast, because obviously he did, but there are no boundaries in that matter and it's always justified. The signal can be heard from miles away, especially on a long road like that, the sound doesn't collide with anything, so you know what direction it is coming from. Also, thx to the Doppler's effect you can guess how fast it is approaching. But well, such situations never are predictable, the car on signal is rushing and even if the driver is used to it, and has nice reflexes, there's just no time to react sometimes. So let this be a lesson to You, look around first and then proceed if it's clear. I know I will
.
Probably icy road. You are suppose to get your car out of the way when you hear sirens. If you don't accidents happen and that is not the fault of the police doing their job.

#6 He's supposed to slow down before entering a clearly busy intersection full of cars. Yeah they're SUPPOSED to get out of his way, but he also is supposed to use his brain.
