I was hoping for more, like a walk around the room or exactly what distortions there are.

It's called an Ames Room. Would have been nice if the vid showed the construction of it.

If they had shown a different angle, the effect would have been ruined.

@ striff
Here's a video link to a simple Ames Room made out of paper, but I think it helps to understand the concept.

You can ruin the effect by just locking at this with 2 eyes.

Your brain doesn't trick you--it's not like something weird is going on with your brain--the camera is not perpendicular to the back wall, but the back wall has been designed to seem as though it is. The person on the left is actually much further back and down than the one one on the right--if something is closer to the camera, it looks much larger than the same thing in the distance.

There is one thing in here that appears to trick the brain, though, and that is the way the ball appears to slow down just after leaving the girls' hands. It looks like it slows down. The point of view combined with the distorted dimensions of the back wall makes the distance seem short, while the actual trip is long (relatively). Because the ball seems to hang in the air an unnatural length of time, our brains say, the ball slowed down.

Does this mean that Prince is really smaller than He looks?

A room like that might be useful for illustrating the theory of Relativity.
