If a croc managed to pull a lion into the water and take him for a little spin (death roll) the King of Beasts would become crocodile turds.

The crocodile/alligator is a reptile...
They looked a bit on the small side hence they move back from the lion. What do you think a 12-15 foot alligator/crocodile would do? The power of the jaws on such a beast would crush the lion. Of course it isn't without risk you attack another predator. However crocodiles/alligators have a very hard skin and a thick skull. The lion has neither.
Anyway Humans > everything else.

I know how croc feels, cause I had a chance to hear the full power of big male lion roar in a zoo from close distance and believe me every single hair on my body went up like electrified. Never herd something more intimidating.

#5 I browsed down the comments to find the first one to point out the death roll... and I would agree to it because it's what I was thinking but then I thought about it a little more... It's a fucking lion we're talking about so I pictured the croc biting on to the leg and doing the twisty thing but then again it's a fucking LION we're talking about so it does have those insane cat reflexes so maybe its a fat chance for the croc to catch a leg but then again it's Disney footage and there's no way they're going to show Simba getting owned by a croc....
