Michelin invented zero expansion tires for aircraft, why don't these guys buy them for racing?

#10 Those are special propose tires called wrinkle wall slicks. They are used in high horsepower drag racing applications. That “deformation” puts more of the tire in contact with the ground, improving traction and launch. As the RPMs of the tire increase, the diameter of the tire increases, giving it a longer roll out distance and increasing the vehicle's potential top speed. Aircraft tires are quit rigid and sturdy to withstand landings, fine for their propose, but not suitable for drag racing.

#12 Servers get switched..HD may come soon. Still the submitted footage needs to be HD quality..we cant make diamonds out of coal =)

#13 You do know that diamonds are made out of carbon (atoms) right? And that coal is primarily made up out of carbon?
what I'm trying to say here: Diamonds are usually created from coal that was either hit by a meteorite or by formations in cratons.
You could just has easily have said: "We can't make ice cubes out of water". ![]()

#14 ya..and HD videos are made out of video/audio signals..just like SD videos. Maybe in future we can press coal into diamonds..and maybe in future we can turn crappy raw footage into HD. Till then..when users submit videos of coal quality..it will turn on here as coal videos. Users need to submit diamonds to see them here. Get my point? ![]()
#13 & #14 Almost 100% of earth's diamonds were formed in the mantle and delivered to the surface by deep-source volcanic eruptions from about 90 miles below the surface.Diamond prospectors seek out the lava tubes that are produced by these eruptions.
Coal is derived from plant material of which there is none at that depth. Also diamonds pre-date the earliest plant life on earth,so coal has had little to do with diamond formation. ![]()
