Nice
An actual expanation wouldve been nice - I didnt get how the water appeared through the surface ?
#8 I would like to know also. It looks like it's comming trough the stuff. But that doesnt make sense since it is water repellent.

#8 #9 Nano Tech
The holes are thinner than even a hair. With pressure the water gets out but due to its density it wont come back in. ![]()

#10 That wouldnt be water repellent now, would it ![]()
If there are small pipes, no matter how thin, osmosis and adhesion would drive the water through (H-bonds)
#11. There is no statement that this fabric is water-proof; only that it is water-repellent - there's a significant difference. Given that the individual fibres are treated to be water-repellent, due to the woven nature of the fabric there will be gaps through which water molecules can be pushed under pressure.
