It's a shame we humans change in such drastic ways as we get older. Many of us adults probably have some bug phobia which we probably did not have at a very young age.
Wasn't afraid of anything as a kid. Today i am afraid of pretty much everything, even people, hence i am on the net!

That reminds me of my cousin who, when she was around four and five years old, used to enjoy freaking adults out by walking up to them, showing them a large snail and then putting it between her teeth and biting down on it smiling all the while.

The bug is a Cicada, it makes a high-pitched sound when it is really hot. I think of them as gentle giants in the bug world. They make a snicking noise when they take flight. They remind me of the Blue Heron, slow on land and then sheer brilliance in the air.
