Actually they do not explain anything, but it is surely impressive

As a point of reference. "Chi" as in "Tai Chi" and "Chi" as in "Chi Kung" mean totally different things.

I wonder how many people are going to "learn it" on www.127home.info .. then get there ass kicked while confronting a bouncer!

what a drag! I love martial arts and its culture, but these things leave me almost offended! I would like to see if a baseball batter would keep the coals in this way! 1:03 and then I'd know that pressure can exert a broom handle on a back, it sure is painful, but as a whip, almost does not transmit kinetic energy to the body it affects. For me: National Geographic has failed!

Well yeah, it hurts, but there is no "magic" to it. People keep believing these things.
I saw a show about it, where they explain how it's really done. It's not as much about focusing chi, as it is about withstanding the pain.
And the spear to the throat trick. Well... They put the spear in a very specific place on the throat. Try it yourself where they do. This point on the throat can withstand a lot of pressure.
I'm gonna be hated for this comment

I see all this mysticism and chi power the same way I see mediums, psychics and spiritual healers. All charlatans.
Countless times I'd get into arguments with some of my more ignorant friends that these people are not invincible. Granted, some of the stuff they do and train are effective, but all this chi power I find ridiculous.
Its all a ruse to get as many people to join their school instead of someone else's. You can see the same form of lies and trickery performed by Frank Dux (who had a whole movie, Bloodsport, based on his incredible and fake life), the original American Ninja Ashida Kim (laughable how fake his Ninjitsu is). It's all about who's style is the best.
When I ask "Why don't you see any of these type of people contend in the Cage?", the typical response I'd get is "Because their style is illegal man, they'd kill someone in the cage with one move". ROFLMAO.
Similar to Chi, the Japanese believe in something called Kai, and a 'Kai master' accepted a challenge from an MMA practitioner, and you will now see the result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I
Apologies for the long and informative rant. You may now get along with your lives

I guess it would have been more convincing if he got hit with a baseball bat in a face by somebody strong.

I would like to take one swing of the bat....I think I could put him into left field. That guy was pulling back on his swing just as it hit its target.

Qi gong is complete nonsense. There is nothing to explain, and it's not impressive.
